Since 1856, the Galena Volunteer Fire Department has provided professional all-risk emergency services to the Galena - Mt. Rose community in Reno, Nevada.

Our volunteer firefighters and EMT's donate thousands of hours responding to medical emergencies, structure and wildland fires, vehicle accidents and other calls for help. Galena Volunteers work closely with career firefighters and paramedics with the Nevada Division of Forestry while we continue to expand and develop our services to provide excellent response and protection for our neighbors.
